I am a mother. Wife. Sister. Friend. Daughter.

Autumn is my favorite season of the year. I get giddy when the weather turns cold... and as soon as Starbucks comes out with their Pumpkin Spice Latte I can't stop smiling.

I love all things art.

I fall in love with every child I photograph...

I am addicted to - and have no willpower against - all things potato...

I love the way my kids smell...

I am notoriously clumsy and once turned around and walked into a wall. It was pretty awesome.

I learned how to use my various cameras using the manual, the internet, and my amazing photographer friends...

I love the back-end of photography (editing) almost as much as I love shooting clients...

And I am passionate about photography. I think everyone should take the time to have beautiful professional portraits done ... portraits that are fluid, emotive, and show personality...

Boys and the Beach | Yorktown Beach, VA Photography

Have you ever tried to take two full-of-life little boys to the beach?

And then… have you ever tried to get them to sit still for family portraits?

Doesn’t work.

But guess what… that is what makes these portraits SO beautiful. Life. Smiles. Motion. This is what we are supposed to be capturing and I love each of these images with every ounce of my being.

This beautiful family means a lot… when these were taken, dad had recently returned from a deployment & I think you can see it on the kids’ faces…
